Clare DT - Winged Things

Good morning bloggers I'm back with my weekly Bee Crafty spot and this week I have brought with me something new from the Bee Crafty collection. Winged Things are a flock of feathery friends, some of which come with an extra branch stamp for you to perch them neatly on to your cards.

For this card I used:

Doodle birds crowned

Inkables template Brick wall

Brushos

Dreams come true (the ' Wake Up' part)

Mica powder

Treasured gold

Texture paste (aka polyfiller)

To make this card I started off by putting my texture paste through the brick wall stencil and set aside to dry. Once dry I carefully painted the brick wall with watered down selection of brushos, I placed the stencil back on so that it left the gaps between the bricks clean.

I stamped and heat embossed the bird and painted with mica powders from my stash. I stamped 'wake up' from the Dreams come true stamp, very apt when you consider these summer mornings and the birds start there morning song at first light. The flowers were stamped from the branch which is included in this set. They were also heat embossed, painted with mica powders and finally cut out and put on to the wall.

Last off all I carefully rubbed some Treasured Gold onto the brick wall.

Thank you for stopping by today. I love to hear your comments. Have a lovely sunny weekend wherever you may be.

Crafty hugs,

Emily DT - Greatness

Hi everyone. I hope you're enjoying the sunshine we've had this week :)

I have had my brusho paints out this week and created some backgrounds, one of which I've used for this weeks card.

Here it is...

First I created the background by sprinkling emerald green and lemon brushos round the edge of my card and spritzing with water.

After it was dry I stamped the Greatness Words stamp into the centre in black archival ink.

Using the inkables offset dots stencil I added some dots randomly in mustard seed distress ink. I then used the Splatter Swirl border stamp in evergreen bough distress ink. I only used small parts of the stamp and stamped it randomly round the edge of the card.

Once it was all dry I mounted it onto black card and onto my card blank.

I really like this card and I will definitely be making more cards with my brushos!

See you next week!

Kerrie DT - Flower Girl Abi

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I have been on a de-clutter mission in my Kraft Korner and I found a whole box of off-cuts from lots of pretty papers and I decided to use them up rather than throw them away - so my project this week is made using 2 pretty off-cuts, Gold Mirror Board and some Paper Flowers from my stash

I chose to use one of my new stamps 'Flower Girl Abi' I then coloured her using Alcohol Markers to match the colours in the papers

This a close up of Abi all coloured

And this is my finished card

I stamped the Sentiment that is part of the 'Flower Girl Abi' stamp set. I finished my card with a pink foam flower and some flat backed pearls from my stash

Happy weekend Bloggers. I'm back once again with my Bee Crafty spot. You really should head over to the online shop. There are some fabulous new images that have been released over the last couple of weeks, some of which fell into my basket and I hope to show you all very soon.

This week I have used one of my favourite stamps, the Beautanicals Teasels along with Brushos.

For this project I used:

Beautanicals Teasels

Joy is a flower - small

Brushos - purple

Embossing powder - White

This was a very simple card to make. I sprinkled the brushos and spritzed with water and let it dry. After that I stamped the teasels in watermark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I finally stamped the sentiment in black ink and mounted onto card.

Have a lovely wekend folks, I've got a couple of paintings to start and of course I shall be playing with my new Bee Crafty stash. I love to hear your comments. Emily DT - Decision to try

Hi everyone, hope you've had a lovely week.

This week I have challenged myself to only use one stamp on my Bee Crafty card so I have used the Decision To Try large stamp.

Here is the card I have made.

It is slightly out of my comfort zone in that I normally use bright colours and lots of different ink pads. This card only uses one distress ink which is Tea Dye.
I used the distress ink to roughly colour a piece of lines paper which I had scrunched up and flattened back out.

I then stamped onto the paper three times using brown and black pigment ink.

The flowers and leaves were made using punches and scraps of card. I also added a pearl to the centre of each one.

I finished the topper by mounting the stamped paper and flowers onto kraft card and adding some crochet ribbon.

I love the crochet ribbon and use it a lot in various projects.

This card was something a bit different for me and I was pleased with how it turned out. I hope you think so too!!

Kerrie DT - Rose Garden Abi

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Over the weekend I was busy reorganising some of my clear stamp collection into empty CD Cases, this has been very time consuming so I took a break and made my DT Project for this week, I chose to use a (new to my 'Bee Crafty Stash') stamp from the 'Abi Grace & Katie Mai' collection. They are so so Adorable and I'm sure you will love them just as much as I do.

I stamped 'Abi' using light grey ink and coloured her using Alcohol Markers

I have coloured to match the backing papers I chose to use - light pastels - I also coloured matched some distress inks to add stamped and inked edges surrounding her to form a frame as a topper for my project - the stamps are I used are 'Holly Swirl' & 'Cow Parsley' - I love to use the Holly Swirl's edge for crafting all year round as it looks so cute as a foliage detail around card edges etc.

I die cut some flowers and foliage using dies and the offcuts from the Papers I used - The Sentiment's are from th Wordage 'Happy Birthday/With Love' set - I layered these up in opposite corners of the topper which I had attached to the card front using foam tape after tucking a doily in behind it

For the matt's and layer's I have used silver mirror board, for the picture above I took the photo at an angel to show the mirror board without my reflection (which is in the other picture - ooops)

Thankyou so much for visiting today, do come back soon to see the Beautiful Makes by the Wonderful Design Team here at the Bee Crafty Blog - Have you joined the Bee Crafty Facebook Group yet??? head on over now and check it out

Clare DT-Joy is a flower

Hurrah it is the the weekend which can only mean one thing, it's my turn to log for Bee Crafty! There has been some lovely new stamps released over the past couple of weeks i will certainly be visiting to have a look later. Click here and it will transport you to an abundance of beautiful stamps, distress inks and the much sought after Dylusion paints.

Here is my crafty make for this week. I have been using quite a few bold prints and patterns lately so i decided to opt for something a little more delicate this week.

For this card I used:

Wordage - joy is a flower

Beautanicals - Teasels

Beautanicals - ferns

Inkables templates - Alternative circles

Distress inks

Liquid pearls

To make this card I light blended spun sugar onto a piece of card that had a section masked off. With the inkables template I added some worn lipstick through. With the mask still in place I stamped around with the fern and then stamped the teasels using a smokey grey ink.

I removed the mask and in the clean area I stamped the teasels once again along with the sentiment. I added some liquid pearls to frame the clean and simple area of the card.

Thank you coming to visit me today. Feel free to leave a comment below. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. If the weather promises to do what it says it looks as though it might be the perfect conditions for crafting.

Happy crafting,

Emily DT - Fleur and Freddie

Hello! This week I have been playing with a Fleur & Freddie stamp. I think the range is adorable and lend themselves to lots of occasions but they are perfect for wedding and anniversary cards.

Here is my card for this week

I have used the Fleur & Freddie foot poppin' kisses stamp and the large Smile wordage stamp.

I started by stamping the Fleur & Freddie stamp onto my card and also onto paper. I cut out the paper one to make a mask.
I used a circle mask to create the coloured area and used distress inks to colour it.
The colours used are shaded lilac, seedless preserves, broken china, salty ocean and picked raspberry. I used ink duster brushes to create a stippled effect and applied the colour in random patches.

I coloured the hearts using picked raspberry distress ink.

For the sentiment I used the large Smile wordage stamp but only inked the word Smile. I often use just a small area of a larger stamp as this allows them to be much more versatile.

I layered the topper onto dark pink card and added some pink and lilac gems.

Hope you like it!

Marleen DT - Tin Man.

Hi guys..

Wednesday already?? Well this means only 1 thing for me..
Bee Crafty ;-)

Today Ive had a play with my favorite little Tin Man Stamp from the Wizard of Oz collection.

Ive made a little tag for today. This tag came about simple because I had a bit of left over paint on my craft sheet. I was having a play with sparkling paints that I picked up one day out shopping and didnt wanted to waste it. I always have a few finished cut tags lying ready so I decided to add the paints to the tag. The silver paint on the tag really reminded me of the Tin Man so dug him out and added paint to him as well.

My sentiment is the "Live, Laugh, Laugh circle" stamp coloured with distress marker and a bit of glitter paint added on top.
You can find all the stamps in the STORE.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - Peggy 'Dreams Come True'

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Today I am sharing with you a pretty shabby chic project made with 'Peggy' from the 'Fashionette's Collection' - I've gone back to my fave style of cardmaking this week, Colouring with Alcohol Markers and lots of layers

I stamped 'Peggy' onto super smooth cardstock using a light grey dye inkpad and coloured her using Alcohol Markers - I colour matched to the papers I chose

The colour tones of the paperpad I chose are quite dusty and vintage looking which I really love, I couldnt resist rounding some corners using a corner punch and inking up the edges using inkpads, I also edged the two background layers using a dark brown alcohol marker. The brown layer I used the 'Circles' Inkables Template I brought from Bee Crafty recently, I embossed the cardstock using the template and an embossing machine, I then inked over the whole cardstock to being out the texture of the circles

I fixed the layers to the card front at jaunty angels. I then stamped the larger branch from the Beautanicals 'Branches' set onto textured carstock 4 times and fussy cut them to create the foliage for the Paper Flowers I've used in oposite corners of the card

The sentiment is part of the 'Dreams Come True' stamp. To stamp juat the part I wanted to, I cover the rest of the words using masking tape then inked the stamp, I removed the masking tape and stamped the sentiment onto cardstock

I have used Brown Mirror Board for the Matt&Layering and to finish I added some Glittered Dome Gems which I had coloured using the Dark Brown alcohol marker again

Thankyou for visiting today - come back soon to see more gorgeous makes by the Design Team

Emily DT - Cow Parsley

Hi everyone! This week I have been playing with one of my favourite Bee Crafty stamps, the BEAUtanicals Cow Parsley stamp.

I have used a simple but effective technique to create a colour panel which makes the stamp really stand out.

Here is the card I have made...

I started by masking off the panel using ripped paper to get a distressed edge. I used distress inks to colour the panel. I blended the colours using my ink applicator, starting with the lightest colour.
The colours used were mustard seed, wild honey, spiced marmelade and fired brick.

Once it was dry I removed the mask and stamped the cow parsley in black archival ink.

Having finished the panel the card comes together really quickly! I stamped the large wordage sunshine stamp onto the white area and layered it onto black card. A few gems finishes it off nicely!

Hope you like it!
See you next week

Marleen DT - Pocket Letter

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

Its once again wednesday and time for my weekly slot for
This week Ive had a play with a whole heap of stamps as I've had another go at making a pocket letter.

Ive used the following stamps:
  Clover
You can find them all in the  STORE..
Here is what Ive made for this week.

All I did was cutting my pieces of card to fit each pocket. Then painted all the cards with different colours. I used H2o's with sprays of water to colour mine.
I then stamped each card with my chosen stamp and added a few decorations.
All I need now to finish of this pocket letter is to fil the pockets with goodies and a letter and send to my swap partner.
