Barbara DT - A Flutter of Butterflies......

Hi everyone, I'm back with my weekend post for Bee Crafty.....
This week I've used the butterfly again, from Winged Things - set 1 .....find it HERE
I love this little butterfly..... I stamped it 8 times on scraps of 'Brusho'd ' cardstock, then fussy cut them out and adhered to a panel of white 'hemp' card.
Some I laid flat, others I lifted the wings with silicone glue.
The DREAM stamp can be found HERE
Have you got your entry into the challenge yet.....you still have a couple of days! Make a card with Bee Crafty stamps then upload to the BC Facebook page....simples.
Anyway here is my card, hope you like it.....

Marleen DT - Hochanda Samples

Hey Bloggers..
Thank you for popping by..

Today Im sharing my samples from Bev's recent show on Hochanda.
She introduced the FASHIONettes. Something a bit different then what Bev normally bring to Hochanda. But by god, did they go down a treat. I love these girlies and it was lovely to get back to colouring again. Something I dont do much of anymore.

Here is my samples from the show:

 A5 card
 Masking tecnique on canvas paper
 Mixed Media canvas Board
Im not the only one who love these ladies.. My 6 year old, Abbie, loves joining me when my BeeCrafty stamps come out. She dreams of one day getting her cards on TV
 A5 card
A5 card made with Brusho. I wanted to show that these girls CAN be used even if your not into/ new to colouring.
6x6 card on distress background. I wanted to show that these girls CAN be used even if your not into/ new to colouring.
I also coloured in these girls and sent to Bev. They were simply as a back up for her if they were needed. Im no colourist and I mainly colour with water pencils. These girls are so easy to colour as each area is not too small and not too big.

And that is all from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Barbara DT - Fly high, Butterfly

Hey bloggy friends, welcome to my weekend post.....
The weather has been quite warm this past few days in Wiltshire, so thought I'd do a 'Spring-like' card, using a Bee Crafty butterfly stamp from the WINGED THINGS set (HERE)
The inks are Adirondacks,  and the cardstock is 'Hemp'
I used a sentiment from the WORDAGE group (HERE) and I must admit if I'm working in the garden, I can't help but smile if a butterfly goes past....they are so fragile & pretty.
Anyway, here is a close-up of my card......
I did a lot of masking for this technique.....I hate it when stamps just cross over on top of each other, unless I'm making a 'masterboard'.
A few coloured 'jewels' finished off my little butterflies.
I matched the mat and layering with the colours of ink.
Hope you like it......don't forget there is still time to join in the February challenge on the Bee Crafty Facebook page....there is a £20 prize!

Emily DT - Hochanda Samples

Hi everyone, who is looking forward to seeing Bev on Hochanda later today?

I felt a bit of dread when I saw the stamps that we were using for samples this month, as I am not very good at colouring. This is amplified when you know your samples are going to be alongside the likes of Kerrie and Marleen! However I decided to have a go at colouring and also use some different techniques to show you do not need to be an expert at colouring to be able to use these fabulous stamps.

Here are my samples and a quick explanation of each...

This tag was done by stamping the image in Stazon ink and then sprinkling some Brushos and spritzing with water just where I wanted a splash of colour.

This card was done with paper-piecing. I used the steampunk papers from last year and did some light blending round the lady.

This tag was done using paper-piecing using pieces of Brusho card.

This card and the canvas below are my (very poor) attempts at colouring! But everyone has to start somewhere.

I hope you like the samples I made for the show.

See you all next week!

Kerrie DT - More Love - Fashionette Judith

Hiya and Welcome to my Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

Our Bev is over on Hochanda again on Friday showing lots of inspiration with the Fashionette's  Stamp Collection

The Design Team have been working on Samples for the show using the Gorgeous Fashionette's and today I am sharing with you one of my makes for the shows

I chose 'Judith' for this cute 7x7 card

Bee Crafty products used:

Fashionette's Judith stamp
Star Flower Bouquet stamp
Beautanicals Branches stamp set
Do More of What You Love Wordage stamp
6" Easy Frame Circle Inkables template

First I trimmed a piece of pearl cards Tockenham to a few mm smaller than a 7x7 card blank and matted onto brown textured card that I had distressed the edges of using a nail file. I inked through the 6x6 inch Circle Inkables Template using distress inks

I stamped Judith using London Fog memento ink as it's a lovely pale ink that when coloured with markers fades to faint lines. I coloured her using copic markers. I then fussy cut her and fixed to the card front offset from the centre of the inked circle.

I the  stamped the 'do more of what you love' wordage sentiment stamp into the inked circle using black archival ink.

I stamped the large branch from the 'branches' stamp set repeatedly onto scrap card stock and fussy cut them and attached to he card front at the edge of the inked circle using hot glue.

I stamped the Star Flowers from the star flower bouquets stamp repeatedly onto scrap card and coloured using copic markers. I then fussy cut them out shaped them with an embossing ball tool and layered up over the branches using hot glue. I stuck gems in the centres

Thank you so much for visiting today.... please come back soon to see more gorgeous makes from the Bee Craft Design Team

Emily DT - LOVE

Hi everyone, my turn to bring some inspiration and for this week's card I have borrow one of my designs from Valentine's Day last year.

I loved this card so much last year that I thought I would show you again. The wonderful thing is that all you need to make this card is the LOVE inkable and a black pen.

Here is the card...

I started by running the inkable and some card through my die-cutting machine. This leaves a faint impression of the outline in the card. You do not need to do this though, you could just tape the inkable in place with some low-tack tape.

Then you just start doodling! I am no great artist by any means, but I find doodling quite relaxing.

I have done a few versions of this card, here is another...

Once you have finished just mount it on black card and you're done!

See you next week,

Emily x

Marleen DT - Dance in the rain...

Hey Bloggers..
Back again with my Wednesday post for
BeeCrafty
.
I missed last week due to circumstances out of my control but have a wee project to share with you for today.

For this week I have made a little wall hang. Its one those project I started a while back but just didnt know how to finish. I had the black MDF heart painted and the lace added but that was it..
It came together as I had pulled out a stack of unfinished projects, the heart lying on top, while I still had al my BeeCrafty goodies on the table.. And the 2 just merged together..

I love this saying from BeeCrafty..
"Life isnt about waiting for the storm to pass.. Its learning to dance in the Rain"
(Get the stamp HERE)
I often use this quote in my own life and something I try to teach my children.. Sometimes we really just have to get on with it, no matter what life throws at us"..

Anyway, very easy to make.. MDF heart, painted with crackle glaze, painted over with black. Lace and pearls added round the edge.
Sentiment stamped and heat set with black embossing powder before diecutting with a circle die.
Few flowers added and voila.. all done..

And that is all from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
Dont forget to come visit me on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube or my FB page.

Barbara DT - Saturday/Sunday Inspiration

Hi folks, back again with another Saturday post for
(I know it's Sunday, but I've had such a manic week, sorry)
Anyway, this week I've made a tag for my DT inspiration, hope you like it.....
I've used 'hopsack' cardstock from PAPERMILLDIRECT, I LOVE the way it looks like canvas when it's inked or chalked. The background on this tag was done using Pan Pastels.
I then 'overstamped' with the sentiment, fern, birds and 'Teasels' from the BEAUtanicals range (HERE) I heat-embossed some of the teasels in gold to make them appear in the foreground.
Well, that's it for today....the new February challenge has now started over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page, so grab a couple of Bee Crafty stamps, and give it a go.
Catch you all soon,
Barbara x

Emily DT - Brusho Frames

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a great week! It's my 30th birthday tomorrow so I'm bringing a very quick and easy card this week.

I used a piece of Brusho card from my stash to create my card, and here is it...

I started by trimming my Brusho card into squares, then stamped the Teasels and Ground Elder onto them using Memento ink.I chose a colour which complemented the Brusho colours in the background.

Each one was mounted onto black card and then stuck onto a card blank. Two of them are stuck directly on the card and two are using foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card blank using the same colour Memento ink.

It didn't take more than about 10 minutes to complete and I like how it turned out. I chose a sentiment to fit the space I had available but any could be used really. You could also use other colours and different stamps in the squares.

See you all next week!
